Melbourne Travel Guide
Melbourne is Australia’s second largest city with a population of about 3.8 million people. Melbourne is also the state capital of Victoria. This amazing city is situated on the mouth of the Yarra River it is approximately 5 kilometres inland from Port Phillip Bay; this is where most of the pretty suburbs are located.
The Yarra River divides the city into two parts, one part being working class areas in the North and West areas and the south and east being the more relaxed areas. The central business district is also known as the ‘Golden Mile’ as it is one mile long and ½ mile wide.
There are a wide range of activities for tourist to do in Melbourne from tennis and bike riding to fishing and windsurfing.
